Come and learn about research that is being conducted at the K-State Olathe Horticulture Research and Extension Center during the Commercial Vegetable Research Field Day. Bring your walking shoes for this event as we will take a detailed tour of all our high tunnels and discuss research projects related to: tomato and pepper grafting, sweet potato slip production, high tunnels, produce quality and shelf life, cultivar evaluation, cover cropping strategies, and the effects of light oh high tunnel crops.
Crops being grown at OHREC include: tomatoes, bell peppers, sweet potatoes, sweet potato slips, blueberries, melons and other mixed plantings. We will also display our mobile produce cooler and discuss considerations for building your own. Stay for a cookout in the shade after the tour hosted by the OHREC staff and students.
This workshop is being brought to you by the Growing Growers program. Cost to attend this workshop is $15. To register, fill out the form below and mail with payment by Aug 7 (Walk-ins are welcome). If you have questions, or for further information, contact Kimberly Oxley at firstname.lastname@example.org.
